Latest update

Angels’ win over Royals coincided with a sharp market surge

Los Angeles Angels’ implied win probability jumped from 59.5% to 99.95% over Aug. 15-16, 2026. The move coincided with the Angels’ 1-0 win over Kansas City, but the supplied context does not confirm whether the price action was driven only by the final result.

Why this matters

Market moves can show where expectations are changing. PolySays adds the source trail so the price is not treated as proof on its own.

Known catalysts

  • The draft ties the move to the Angels’ 1-0 win over the Royals.
  • Polymarket-reported price movement may have reflected reaction to that result.
  • CLOB price history shows the Angels’ implied probability rising by 40.5 points over 24 hours.

Unresolved questions

  • Whether the price surge was caused only by the game result or by additional market activity is still unclear.
  • It is not clear whether the move happened gradually during the game or mainly after the final score.
  • No other catalyst has been confirmed from the supplied input.

Living timeline

Significant updates

  1. The Angels’ market moved sharply during the Aug. 15-16 window, with implied win probability rising from 0.595 to 0.9995, a 40.45-point increase. The supplied sources show the real-world development that best matches the move: Los Angeles beat Kansas City 1-0, with recap coverage from ESPN and report coverage from Greenwich Time, which noted Reid Detmers’ eight innings and Nolan Schanuel’s RBI single in the 8th. That timing makes the price surge consistent with reaction to the Angels’ win, but the input does not establish whether the move came gradually during the game, snapped after the final score, or reflected additional market activity. No other catalyst is confirmed in the supplied material.
